The motorcyclists in COMOMARU cooperative based in Bugarama sector, Rusizi district, Western Province received financial support worth 1million Rwf from National Police of Rwanda.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jean Bosco Seminega, the police commander in the Western Province hailed the donation act.
“This financial support is a way to emphasize the social welfare of people which is where security and co-operation start,” said Seminega.
Seminega requested the motorcycles to note their clients, especially in the night and report any suspicious behavior to avoid crime. Meanwhile, suspects held for grenade attacks in Rusizi and Kigali at large were noted to have entered Rwanda through Bugarama sector, hence it boarders Burundi and Rwanda.
The thankful motorcyclists pledged to work hand in hand with police in fighting crime. They also vowed to use the donation sparingly in investiment related issues.
