Jean de Dieu Hakizimana, advisor on the UNESCOM administrative committee reveals that this forum has helped many members in different ways.
Hakizimana asserts that some members were cyclists before they joined but have bought their own motorcycles and others get vehicles according to their capacity.
Apart from improving members’ lives, UNESCOM gives credit to the wives of the motorcyclists to start small projects and support their families.
UNESCO works with Akagera Motors and Rwanda Motors. Every member who needs a motorcycle worth Rwf1.2 million has to pay Rwf450, 000 at first and pay the rest in installments without any security required.
Sudi Musoni says that he didn’t know such benefits are meant for youth adding that he will sensitize other youth to form or join cooperatives so that they get loans and develop.
UNESCOM forum combines 41 motorcyclists’ cooperatives in Kayonza, Rwamagana, Ngoma, Kirehe and Gatsibo districts.
